Liberty Fest 2018 - Live Music, Fireworks, Car Cruise & More in Lewistown!
Celebrate Independence Day in Lewistown, PA!
DO NOT MISS THE EMBASSY THEATRE'S ANNUAL LIBERTY FEST
In front of the theatre on South Main street just off the square. Friday night we will hold the "LET FREEDOM RING CONCERT" performed by the "Lewistown Community Band" starting at 5pm. The concert is to pay tribute to our armed forces and the birth of our nation. Please bring your lawn chairs for this event.
We continue on SATURDAY MORNING at 11AM, with live music all day, food, vendors, kids activities, kids bounce house, classic car cruise in, Juniata River Valley Idol finals starting at 8pm, ending with the Lewistown 4th of July fireworks display (can be seen from the square). Please bring your lawn chairs for Saturday's events as well
We have an amazing line up this year with some being Central PA celebrities!
11-11:45am---- Ken Gray (acoustic country)
12-2pm---- LowJack (classic rock)
2:30-4:30pm---- Felix And The Hurricanes (Blues/Rock/Southern/Countryish) Band members Felix Kos, Jeff Clapper, Bob Watters have been awarded the 2009 BSWPA Blues challenge winner and locally awarded, 2012, 2014, 2015 Altoona Mirror Hometown Favorite Band.
5-7pm---- Johnny Unit (well known local band crossing different genres)
We will have our CLASSIC CAR CRUISE IN on the lower side of South Main Street. Featuring a brand new JEEP from Blaise Alexander customized by Krawl Works along with several local classic and unique cars and trucks. You do not have to own a classic to enter, if your vehicle is custom or unique stop in and participate!
If you are interested in “showing” we suggest you preregister through a PM on our Facebook page or by contacting our event coordinator, since we only have limited space for approximately 25 cars. “Freedom Pix” photography will be on site if owners or patrons would like photos with vehicles attending. You can call our event coordinator at 717-348-0185 for the most up to date information. We hope to build off of the Cruise In and build it up for a stand alone future event
A.B.A.T.E will be in attendance doing 50/50 selling their promo materials and helping to educate those with questions regarding motorcycle laws and safety in PA.
We will feature food from: -The Burnham Lions Club -Laskaris Restaurant -J&M concessions Ice Cream -The Square Deli will be open serving Pulled Pork
We will have vendors such as Sandy's Scents, Paparazzi Jewelry by Lindsey Nale and others.
LEWISTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT will be doing “Child ID kits” and bicycle registration while talking with the public.
We will have the inflatable BOUNCE HOUSE back this year for the kiddos!! We will also feature other children's activities and games.
LEWISTOWN 4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS WILL FINISH THE NIGHT the fireworks are viewable from the square just steps away from our stage. Fireworks are organized through The Juniata Valley Visitors Bureau and the local Chamber of Commerce, funded through donations from local businesses and individuals. If your interested in helping the fireworks continue next year through donation, please contact The Juniata Valley Visitors Bureau.
