National Model Railroad Association Event

This weekend the Mt. Union engine house will be open to view the standard gauge EBT switcher as part of the Susquehanna Division of the NMRA that will be held at our club museum with local tours of the brickyard, slide shows and home layouts open to the public as well as tours of our museum while under construction. Doors open at 9 am. Event starts at 10am. Come to 300 West Small St. Mt Union Pa. maps to home layouts provided. Open to the public. Hope to see you there!

Bryan Donaldson will be giving a presentation and tours of the museum to follow.

A tour will be given of the old Harbison and Walker Brickyard grounds. Walk around one of the brickyards that made Mount Union one of the greatest industrial towns in America.

Stop by the Bricktown Senior Center for some lunch and enjoy baked goods for sale that day.

Visit the Historical Society Industrial Museum. *Please note - this building will be closing this year. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this museum.

The East Broad Top Engine Shed will be open to visitors so they may see the steam locomotive that is still in the shed. Number 3 was a switching 0-6-0 steam locomotive with dual couplers on it to move both standard and narrow gauge cars.

A number of model railroaders will have their train layouts on display.  *Please note - weather permitting, some layouts are outdoors and will not be operating if it rains. Maps of the area tours are available at the Bricktown Museum.
