Public funding makes up approximately 50% of the annual budget of the Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau, with the remainder coming from membership investments from tourism related businesses and organizations, a small retail operation located in the Raystown Lake Visitors Center in Hesston, PA and cooperative advertising and promotions with area businesses. The organization is controlled by an all volunteer board of directors representing a variety of businesses and organizations with interests in the county's tourism industry. The Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau employs a full-time Executive Director, 2 full-time and 1 part-time staff members, and occasionally interns from area educational institutions. HCVB has a partnership arrangement with the US Army Corps of Engineers Raystown Lake Project to operate the Raystown Lake Region Visitors Center welcome counter and Raystown Reflections Gift Shoppe. HCVB finances are audited annually and an IRS Form 990 is submitted to the Internal Revenue Service. For financial information about HCVB visit Guidestar.org.
