Welcome to the Raystown Lake Region of Pennsylvania

As the official tourism promotion agency for Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, the Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau (HCVB) engages in designing and developing strategic marketing initiatives that will result in increased visitation to Huntingdon County. HCVB is a 501(c)(6) non-profit corporation with its main office located at the Raystown Lake Visitor Center in the Seven Points Recreation Area near Hesston, PA. HCVB receives 98% of Huntingdon County's Hotel Excise Tax revenue which it puts to use in developing tourism assets within Huntingdon County and promoting them to a customer base outside of a 50 mile radius of the county. The Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau is the designated tourism promotion agency for Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. Public funding makes up approximately 50% of the annual budget of the Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau, with the remainder coming from membership investments from tourism related businesses and organizations, a small retail operation located in the Raystown Lake Visitors Center in Hesston, PA and cooperative advertising and promotions with area businesses. The organization is controlled by an all volunteer board of directors representing a variety of businesses and organizations with interests in the county's tourism industry. The Huntingdon County Visitors Bureau employs a full-time Executive Director, 2 full-time and 1 part-time staff members, and occasionally interns from area educational institutions. HCVB has a partnership arrangement with the US Army Corps of Engineers Raystown Lake Project to operate the Raystown Lake Region Visitors Center welcome counter and Raystown Reflections Gift Shoppe.
