The Hartslog Heritage Museum in Alexandria PA celebrates the Scotch-Irish history of Huntingdon County. See many exhibits celebrating the local heritage. The Hartslog Heritage Museum sponsors the arts and crafts community festival "Hartslog Day" in Alexandria PA on the 2nd Saturday of October each year. We have a unique exhibit outdoors, "The Pumpkin Pole."The museum is filled with over 4000 artifacts which represent the areas’ past, both as part of Hartslog Valley and as a small town. The collection reminds us of how remarkably self-sufficient small Pennsylvania towns were just a hundred years ago. Displays cover everything from a country store to a blacksmith, a watch shop to a family parlor. The history preserved in this museum is more than just that of the Raystown Lake Region but that of small towns all across the United States. The Hartslog Heritage Museum is open the first Sunday of every month from 2-4pm or by appointment.
